Account Deletion
You can delete your Rental Car Proof account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, and what happens when you do.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:
Settings → Account → Delete Account
You’ll be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.
No longer have the app installed?
Email us at Email us from the email address linked to your account, and we’ll delete it for you.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account and login details
- Your saved rentals and inspection records
- Uploaded photos and generated evidence packs
- Notes, timestamps and location data attached to your rentals
Where analytics data associated with your account is held by a third-party analytics provider, we request its deletion from that provider on a best-effort basis at the same time.
What’s retained
To prevent abuse of free-tier access, we retain a one-way cryptographic hash of your device identifier after your account is deleted. This hash cannot be reversed and cannot be used to identify you or linked to any other personal data once your account is deleted.
